ESL Classes continue to grow at
Horry County Schools' Adult Education Centers

Our ESL Program is designed for adults whose first language is not English and who wish to improve their level of English proficiency.  Instruction covers all phases of the English language.  Improvement in communication skills is the main goal.  Conversation is stressed in ESL classes.  Reading and writing are taught together.  Basic grammar lessons, geography, history, civics, and government are part of the curriculum.  ESL classes function as academic classes and are support groups for students.
