College and Career Transition Services

Adult education students are offered various transition services to ensure greater success with college and careers.

Students can:

  • explore career pathways
  • complete career assessments
  • formulate interest inventories
  • investigate college majors
  • search for employment
  • learn about military careers

Assistance is provided to apply for financial aid, register for college, create resumes, and complete job applications. Visits to local college campuses and visits to and from local businesses also help students in choosing careers and college courses of study.   Seminars are offered for completing job and college applications, developing resumes, and excelling in an interview.

Prep Steps for Work and Interviewing Skills workshops are offered at the Coastal Workforce Center on alternating Wednesdays each month.  Call Andree Frohman at 234-9675 ext. 143 to register.
