Lisa Burgess

I am currently the lead instructor at the Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center and have been teaching with the Adult Education program for over 17 years.  This experience has been, by far, the most rewarding experience of my professional career.  I spent the first 21 years of my life in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a B.S. in Education, certified to teach secondary English.  Upon relocating to the Myrtle Beach area, I completed my M.Ed. at the University of South Carolina and then began work with the Horry County Schools' Adult Education program.  I would highly encourage anyone who has not completed his/her high school credential to contact your nearest Adult Education center, obtain that document, and continue the pursuit of higher educational, career, and personal goals.
